BLUE CANOPY´S SHERYL SCHWARTZ PARTICIPATES IN WHITE HOUSE JOBS SUMMIT
On December 3, 2009, the White House hosted the Jobs and Economic Growth Forum, an opportunity for the President and the economic team to hear from some of the leading CEOs, small business owners, labor leaders, nonprofit heads and thinkers about ideas for continuing to grow the economy and put Americans back to work.
Sheryl represented Blue Canopy at President Obama´s "Jobs and Economic Growth Forum" in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in the White House complex. She joined approximately 130 other business executives, labor leaders, economists, mayors and representatives from nonprofits at the Summit, which addressed policies to promote job creation. Sheryl participated in the small business discussion, which was moderated by Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and SBA Administrator Karen Mills. Sheryl also had an intimate breakfast with Larry Summers and 8 other business leaders from around the country before participating in the small business breakout session.
Sheryl really enjoyed her unique experience at the Summit: "I appreciated the once in a lifetime opportunity to participate. I urged the Obama Administration, as it looks to implement programs to stimulate job growth, to make the needs of small businesses a priority through increased access to capital, tax incentives and regulatory reforms that encourage innovation."
